Este volumen recoge una selección de trabajos (cincuenta comunicaciones más seis ponencias invitadas) presentados en el marco del XI Congreso Internacional sobre el Latín Vulgar y Tardío, que se celebró en la Universidad de Oviedo (Asturias, España) entre el 1 y el 5 de septiembre de 2014. Amplísima es la variedad temática de este conjunto de estudios: de aspectos fónicos, morfosintácticos a léxico-semánticos, pasando por la onomástica, la pragmática o la sociolingüística. Igualmente variado es el elenco de autores, no solo por lo que respecta a su nacionalidad o edad, sino también por lo que se refiere a su especialización: veteranos y jóvenes latinistas, romanistas, hispanistas o historiadores de más de una docena de países europeos y americanos ofrecen aquí una excelente muestra de la investigación actual sobre el latín vulgar y tardío. This volume includes a selection of contributions (fifty papers and six plenary lectures) presented during the Eleventh International Conference on Late and Vulgar Latin, held at the University of Oviedo (Asturias, Spain) on 1-5 September 2014. These studies cover a wide range of topics: phonetics, morphology, syntax, vocabulary, semantics, onomastics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and many others. The cast of authors is varied as well, regarding not only their nationality or age, but also their specialization: veteran and young experts in Latin, Romance languages or History from more than a dozen countries of Europe and America offer here an attractive overview of current research on late and vulgar Latin.
